Facilities Managers face increasing pressure from supply chain issues and new technology, but their essential work often goes unrecognized.
Fexa, the facilities management software provider, is launching a new campaign to put a spotlight on these unsung industry heroes.
The company's inaugural FM Appreciation Week will celebrate these professionals by sharing their stories and highlighting their contributions to business success.

Behind every open store, functioning HVAC system, and safe retail space is a facilities manager making it happen. These professionals are the quiet force answering 3 a.m. emergency calls and stretching budgets to cover unexpected repairs. Today, their roles have become more complex than ever as they navigate everything from supply chain volatility to the complex integration of AI, yet their work often remains invisible.
To address this gap, facilities management software provider Fexa is launching FM Appreciation Week 2025, a nationwide initiative designed to celebrate the industry's unsung heroes.
A high-pressure role: FMs operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, Fexa explains. They are tasked with anticipating risks before they become disruptions, managing budgets with precision, and orchestrating the complex systems that keep the built world running, all while facing external pressures from inflation and technology. "When the lights stay on and the doors stay open, it’s because of them. Facilities professionals are the calm in the storm. When something breaks, when weather hits, when the unexpected happens, they’re already on it. FM Appreciation Week is about finally giving them the visibility and gratitude they’ve always deserved," says Maranda Dziekonski, Chief Customer Officer at Fexa.
The campaign aims to connect the often-understated work of facilities management directly to top-line business performance, from brand reputation to the bottom line. According to Fexa President Kim Goei, this recognition is long overdue. “Facilities professionals enable the customer experience, revenue and loyalty that brands depend on. This often goes unnoticed, but we notice. They’re the fixers, the planners, the problem-solvers that hold it all together,” she says.
Fexa invites anyone who works with, for, or alongside a facilities professional to share their stories. Nominations are open from November 4–14, 2025, and all nominees will receive exclusive merchandise. The brand will highlight nominee stories throughout the campaign before announcing formal award winners during the week of November 17.
To submit a nomination, visit Fexa's website. You can follow the campaign on the company’s LinkedIn page and join the movement by sharing a story with the hashtag #FMAppreciationWeek.
